About the Role Systems Engineer – hands‑on builder responsible for configuring, maintaining and improving Airbnb’s Atlassian platforms, leading migration from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud and leveraging AI for automation. Responsibilities Administer Jira Cloud Software and Jira Service Management, own parts of the environment to improve reliability, design and implement Jira configurations (workflows, issue types, permission and notification schemes, screens, fields), deliver end‑to‑end migration workstreams from Data Center to Cloud, configure Service Management projects (SLAs, queues, forms, approval workflows, security schemes), build dashboards and reports using native tooling, support custom Forge applications, manage Atlassian access, user lifecycle and license hygiene, partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into configuration and automation solutions, configure Rovo AI agents and automation rules responsibly. Requirements Experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management, Atlassian tooling, custom workflow design, migration projects, SLA and queue configuration, dashboard/report creation, Forge application support, access and license management, and AI‑driven automation (Rovo AI). Strong technical judgment, ability to work autonomously, and curiosity to grow toward senior‑level scope.
