The Trading Specialist role sits within the Trading Operations team, which is tasked with maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of trade execution across various asset classes. This position is critical to the firm's 24/7 trading initiatives, requiring the specialist to monitor live trading activity during regular, extended, and overnight market sessions. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing equity and option orders, investigating trade inquiries, monitoring the health of routing systems, and coordinating responses to technical or venue-related disruptions. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure system stability and adherence to SEC and FINRA regulations. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of experience in broker-dealer operations who possesses a strong analytical mindset. Candidates must hold active FINRA Series 7 and Series 57 licenses and demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The Trading Operations team is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant trade execution across all supported asset classes while protecting customers and the firm. The team partners closely with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Experience, and external market centers to maintain system stability and trading integrity during all market sessions. Robinhood has now introduced 24/7 trading and this hire will help support this new function. As a Trading Specialist, you will monitor live trading activity across overnight, extended hours, and regular market sessions while supporting the health of Robinhood’s trading infrastructure. You’ll investigate and resolve trading issues, coordinate responses to system or venue disruptions, and communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners. This role offers hands-on exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions, with meaningful opportunities for learning and career growth! This role is remote but will be tied to a local Robinhood office in New York, NY, Lake Mary, FL, Chicago, IL, or Denver, CO. Shifts Available: Work Schedule 1 (all times are EST): Tuesday 11:30AM - 8:30PM Thursday 11:30AM - 8:30PM Saturday 9AM - 9PM Sunday 9AM - 9PM Work Schedule 2 (all times are EST): Monday 8PM - 5AM Thursday 8PM - 5AM Saturday 9PM - 9AM Sunday 9PM - 9AM What you’ll do Execution of Written Supervisory Procedures to comply with all SEC and FINRA rules Order entry and trade execution of equity and option orders Resolution of trade inquiries Monitor trading activity, firm accounts, corporate actions, and identify and resolve problems associated with trades Monitor health of routing systems and Venues, and interact with Venues as required Coordinate response for system, trading, and communications (SEV) related issues. Engage with cross functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance) on product development and problem solving. What you bring Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 3-5 years working in a broker-dealer operations/trading environment FINRA Series 7 required FINRA 57 license required Strong understanding of brokerage operation functions Self-starter with ability to work independently Strong communication and analytical skills Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to a changing environment What we offer Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
