We are looking for someone to join us as an early member of the Web team, owning the user-facing web at amo. For many people, the web is where they first meet our apps: a link shared by a friend, opened in a messenger or a social feed, often seconds before they decide whether to download. That moment matters a lot to us. In the initial months, you’ll work closely with the team on the surfaces that bring new people into our products, gradually taking ownership of a growing part of our consumer web experience. Given our stage, we’re seeking versatile engineers comfortable working across product, engineering and growth. We value team members who delve deep into their respective domains, aiming to cultivate a team of subject matter experts with a high sense of ownership. As a Web Engineer, your day-to-day will include: Consumer Web Experiences Building fast, beautiful, conversion-focused web experiences that show off our apps at their best, from the first link someone taps to the moment they open the app. You’ll turn designs into polished UI that loads instantly on any device and in any in-app browser, and you’ll care about every millisecond and every pixel. Deep Linking & App Entry Owning the bridge between web and app: Universal Links, App Links, deferred deep linking, attribution, and App Clips. Whether the user already has the app or not, every link should take them exactly where they expect to go. Sharing & Rich Previews Making everything shared from our apps look great everywhere it lands. That includes generating dynamic OG metadata and preview images at scale, and iterating on what gets shared and how it’s presented, based on what actually converts. Analytics & Experimentation Designing and maintaining our event tracking taxonomy (Amplitude) so that the data is consistent, well organized and trusted across teams. You’ll instrument funnels end-to-end, run rigorous A/B tests, and turn the results into decisions. Growth Initiatives Identifying and shipping new ways to improve acquisition and conversion. We expect you to look at the funnel, form your own hypotheses, build, measure, and then either scale or drop the idea. You’ll be an active contributor to the roadmap, not just its executor. Owning your scope You’ll be responsible for the architecture, performance, monitoring and reliability of everything you ship. We value engineers who take full ownership of their scope, and who proactively address issues before anyone asks. Your Skills & Experience: We are hiring multiple engineers of varying levels, so please indicate your years of experience on the application form to apply for the appropriate position. 5+ years of professional experience building consumer-facing web products. Deep expertise in React / Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js. Strong understanding of web performance: rendering strategies (SSR, edge, static), caching, CDNs, Core Web Vitals, and how mobile and in-app browsers behave. Hands-on experience with deep linking, Universal Links / App Links and attribution. Experience with App Clips is a big plus. Experience designing analytics taxonomies and running experiments, and real care for data quality. A growth mindset: you think in funnels and conversion rates, and you love moving a metric. Strong product and visual taste. You notice the 2px misalignment and the 100ms delay. Comfortable working autonomously across frontend and backend. Knowledge of infrastructure (Bazel, GCP, Kubernetes) is a plus. Passion and experience building consumer-facing products. We’d love to hear about things you’ve shipped! AI as a multiplier AI is part of how we build every day. We’re looking for engineers with a real grasp of these tools, who use them to multiply their output and not to make up for missing expertise. You should be able to drive an agent through a complex change, judge what it produces, spot where it’s subtly wrong, and stand behind every line that ships. We wanted to make sure coming to the office was as comfortable as possible for you: We chose a location in central Paris, near Opera (Metro lines 3,8,9 and RER A). We have a beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, and huge windows. So a lot of natural light!
