About the Role Anthropic is looking for a Communications Lead to own external communications for the Claude Platform, our API. The role sits on the Product Communications team and works with Platform product and engineering, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end communications for capability releases, product updates, and developer‑facing news. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, newsletter writers, and creators covering AI platforms, enterprise software, and the API economy. Prepare Platform leaders for press, podcasts, panels, and other speaking opportunities. Partner with Product and Engineering to align external narratives with product positioning and surface customer feedback. Work across press, social, owned, and community channels, coordinating as needed. Requirements Minimum qualifications: experience in communications, PR, or product marketing with platform, API, developer, or enterprise product exposure; understanding of developer culture and enterprise buying; strong judgment on product timing and tone; high agency, low ego, bias to action. Preferred qualifications: 8‑10 years of experience in communications, PR, or product marketing; experience at a developer platform, API‑first, or enterprise software company; existing relationships with AI/enterprise tech reporters; experience managing communications for AI/ML products; active on developer channels such as Hacker News.
