As a Software Engineer II on the Data Enablement Platform team, you will focus on building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers the company's data-driven products. Your daily responsibilities involve working across the entire data stack, including data streaming, warehousing, orchestration, and observability. You will design and manage systems for data replication and materialization while ensuring the platform remains resilient and scalable. A significant part of the role involves partnering with product, data science, and analytics teams to support the launch of data-backed features and improving overall data competency across the organization. This position is well-suited for engineers with over three years of professional experience in data infrastructure who are proficient in Kotlin or Python. Candidates should have hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, and Kafka. The role requires a strong background in backend engineering and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to solve complex architectural challenges.

The Data Enablement Platform team builds the data infrastructure that powers Brex’s products and services. Responsibilities Build, improve, and maintain Brex’s data platform and infrastructure including data warehouse, analytics, streaming, replication, materialization, orchestration, observability, access, and governance. Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to enable data‑backed products. Level up data competency through partnership and education. Participate in on‑call rotations and improve operational efficiency. Requirements 3+ years of professional experience in data infrastructure or data platform roles. Experience with Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt, CDC, Kotlin or Python. Experience building and maintaining large‑scale modern data stacks and streaming infrastructure such as Kafka. Background in backend engineering or full‑stack development. Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams. Must be willing to work in the office three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
