As a Senior GL Accountant based in the Paris area, you will be responsible for managing general ledger activities for the company's headquarters and largest entity. This role involves performing journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments while ensuring financial statements comply with both IFRS and French GAAP. You will play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, as well as the preparation of tax declarations and support for statutory audits. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Legal, and HR, to maintain accurate records and support process improvement initiatives. This is a fixed-term contract designed to cover a parental leave, making it an ideal opportunity for a highly organized accounting professional with over seven years of experience. The role suits a candidate who is fluent in both French and English, possesses strong technical accounting skills, and can operate effectively in a fast-paced, international corporate environment while managing multiple reporting deadlines.

About the job Reporting to the RTR Director based in Paris, you will be responsible for a range of General Accounting activities for Contentsquare SAS, the Group's largest entity and headquarters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP. This is a fixed-term contract starting in mid-January 2027 , to cover a parental leave. What you’ll do Support day-to-day General Ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments. Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations and support statutory audits. Maintain accurate records of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets. Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reporting. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including FP&A, Legal, HR, Procurement, and other business stakeholders. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements. Support the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls. Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and relevant local and international accounting standards. What you’ll need to succeed Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in General Accounting , ideally gained across both an accounting firm and an in-house/corporate environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS is required ; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus. Fluency in French and English , as you will work in a truly international environment. Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities. Highly organized, proactive, and reliable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet strict reporting deadlines. Comfortable joining a team for a fixed-term assignment and quickly becoming operational. Nice to have Previous experience in the Tech / SaaS sector . Experience with Microsoft Excel , including VBA. Experience working with Workday Financials . Previous experience in an international or multi-entity organization.
